Recent rains offer some relief for WC farmers

Agri Western Cape says recent rains have brought some relief to farmers in the province.
The ongoing drought has crippled the farming sector with the industry losing millions of rand in revenue.
Agri Western Cape’s Chief Executive Officer, Carl Opperman, says parts of the province still remain in terrible need of rainfall, particularly in grain and livestock farming areas.
Opperman says things are looking positive. he says in some areas, winter rains are arriving too late.
