A case reported to the SAPS about a 7-year-old assaulted girl

The case of a 7-year-old Mitchells Plain girl who was allegedly assaulted by boys in her area has been reported to the South African Police Services.

The Western Cape Department of Social Development made contact with the girl’s family. Childline, the Department’s NGO partner, has begun offering support and services to the girl while the Department of Social Development is offering support to the girl’s mother. 

Minister Albert Fritz said we also very encouraging the department to take drastic actions, and we are pleased on how the community responds to our call.


“We have instances like these and cases like these reported to the police and to the department. We will act on them and we are very encouraged about that” he concluded.
