Man injured in rear-end truck collision on the N3 west by the Shongweni bridge

One man was injured after a truck collided into the rear of another heavy goods vehicle on the N3 west by the Shongweni bridge this morning just after 05h00.

Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.

Netcare 911 Spokesperson Chris Botha said Netcare 911 paramedics their rescue unit and the fire department arrived at the scene and found the wreckage of the one truck across the highway, the driver miraculously escaping with minor injuries.

“After he was stabilised at the scene they transported him to a local hospital for the care that he required Botha added.
