Former Chief Justice Sandile Ngcobo to chair the Remuneration commission

President Jacob Zuma has announced that Chief Justice Sandile Ngcobo will chair the Presidential Remuneration Review Commission. 

The commission was established to review the pay policies of the public services. 

Through this Commission, the State as an employer aims to ensure that government gets value for money paid on the salaries of public servants. 

Presidential Spokesperson Mac Maharaj said the President announced this during his state of nation address in February that a Presidential Remuneration Commission would be established to investigate the appropriateness of Remuneration and conditions the services provided by the state to all its employees with teachers receiving priority attention.
